ok, you will find that add has its own sub forum under mental illness. so if you scroll down the index page to the mental illness forum and click on the add link underneath, it will take you to the add sub forum.

The forum is called mental illness because that is what they are. We may not like it, but it is the reality of it.

Most of the people here accept that they have a problem and are mature enough to realize that it is a disease. A lot of the people that post in the illnesses aren't sure they have it or have never seen a doctor about it so it's hard to take them seriously.
If ADD isn't a disease, what is it?

add is not a disease no need to be rude but A disease or medical condition is an abnormal condition of an organism that impairs bodily functions and can be deadly. It is also defined as a way of the body harming itself in an abnormal way, associated with specific symptoms and signs.
People that have studied ADD/ADHD have all said it is not a disorder even thou it has dissorder in its name
but it is not a mental illness

ADD and ADHD are not normal.
The symptoms are found in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
They are diagnosed by psychiatrists and psychologists.
There are specific and effective treatment options for them.
They are both psychological disorders, regardless of whether you like it or not.

Sugar and Spice is correct. They are recognized as psychological disorders, whether you like it or not. Until psychologists publish otherwise, they are going to be considered disorders.

I can respect your opinion but it won't be changing. I don't have the energy to debate this, but awhile back the ADD/ADHD forum used to be its own forum along with the other sub-forums there. They were moved as sub-forums for organizational purposes.
I know the fundamentals are debatable but the only reason its under there is for organization. Mental illnesses is the best parent forum for this layout of the site.
