Having a sexual encounter often seems more enticing than it turns out to be, b/c for many people, there needs to be some emotional connection to the person doing 'It'. In the absence of that (or if the connection is new or not that strong) the awkwardness and nervousness of being that intimate with someone gets in the way.

Just because something is available or offered doesnlt mean it's necessarily 1) such a good idea, and 2) that it will work out as you hope. There are often other factors that influence the final result (enjoyment).

i can imagine. don't feel that way though, if your body is telling you something, listen to it. for awhile there, after my last experience with my -ex, i felt disheartened to. theres really not much else you can do but give it another go.
