cracking nuckels

all i need to do is put my hands in a fist and they crack is this bad

Not really theres lots of rumours saying it causes arthritis but its not true.

It may just make them a bit numb for like 5 minutes.

No, it's not bad. While it doesn't cause arthritis (hasn't been linked to it yet), they wear down the tissue a little bit over time. It's not that bad, I do it a lot, but it's probably smart to not crack them too frequently.

Well it could be any number of things..
Do you often crack your knuckles? When I used to they'd crack at the slightest bend.
Is it usually cold when this happens? Your knuckles are usually more brittle when it's cold.

But it's not necessarily bad and isn't an indicator of anything that is bad, so don't worry about it. I guess if it continues for longer than a month it might be a cause for concern though, so if you're really worried just talk to your doctor.
