Right, so just out of pure curiousity, post here what you are truly diagnosed with. If you have not been to a doctor and they have told you that you are something, do not post that you are. Nor do I want people to post "I think..." because I want things that have been diagnosed by a professional.
I'll go first. Technically, I am diagnosed with dysthymia and generalized anxiety disorder.

Bi-Polar disorder and PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). There is a history of Bi-Polar disorder in my family and when I was younger, I was both a victim and witness to domestic violence in addition to being neglected, physically abused, sexually abused, and emotionally abused. I was diagnosed with both four years ago. They, at first, thought that I possessed a lot of traits of paranoid schizophrenia but after thorough analysis soon changed their diagnosis. Until I attempted suicide seven months ago, both went untreated for two and a half years, and I am back in therapy now.

I have been told that I am developing borderline personality disorder.
Before that, I was misdiagnosed as having bipolar disorder.

Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome (an illness, I guess) and Dependency something or another. There was one other one that had something to do with fear of connection with others. I only know because I overheard. They didn't want to worry me....

At the risk of angering or irritating people, may I just point out that BPD is actually the abbreviation for Borderline Personality Disorder and not Bipolar Disorder.

Bipolar Disorder
I was diagnosed at 14, but I think I've had it for a much longer time. I think a lot of neglect between ages 11-16 were the icing on the cake for it though, because I literally went into random fits of psychosis and tried to commit suicide a few times in this time period. Hasn't been nearly this bad ever since I've been medicated though. I've only started therapy the last couple months due to a past resistance to not go and my psychologist wants to look further into my diagnosis since Bipolar is commonly misdiagnosed

Several years ago, diagnosed with ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder) which became CD (Conduct Disorder) then eventually APD/ASPD (anti-social personality disorder.. I give 2 abbreviations as I've seen it abbreviated in 1 of those 2 ways). I won't go into a lot of detail for the rest of the diagnosis but the schizophrenia started many years ago, around grade 6-9 then slowly increased in intensity, frequency, duration and the detail. The sadism was always there, and the addiction to violence/blood started a few years ago. The DID I think is there (although not diagnosed) because I've had times when I'm thrown into the passanger seat and I can easily see (co-consciousness) what the other/alter is doing, and there tends to be more than one. I'm not sure if it's a hallucination or alter but one is called Fellow Friend (that's the name he goes by). I can see him visually and hear him, and he tends to remove all other hallucinations, doesn't try to control/demand me to do something, doesn't like the sadism, is sometimes around when other people are around, can stay for hours, etc... . Lastly, I've never done any drugs with the exception of alcohol on a few occasions.
Anyways, now that all that mumble jumbo is over, diagnosis currently is...
- Personality Disorders Not Otherwise Specified (Anti-social, narcissistic, schizotypal)
- Schizophrenia (paranoia with visual and auditory hallucinations)
- DID (this is NOT professionally diagnosed although my therapist and some other people have suspected I have it)
- Sadism/ "addiction" to pain of others, violence and blood

I just want to observe that I initially thought that my psych had misdiagnosed me (my egostical self thought I could do better and initially identified more with SPD...stupid kids and their self-diagnosis antics). Well, getting to know people with Lolsperger's IRL made me realise at which point I'm similar to them. I no longer doubt my diagnostic.
Speaking to another sufferer is like a "who looks in the other's eyes the least" contest. Saying we look dodgy would be an understatement. It's totally awkward but I totally understand the other since I'm feeling the same thing.
I'm autistic, I have Asperger's Syndrome, and I fully accept the label.
