stupid Microsoft Word

well my Microsoft Word is being stupid
I had to close it 11 times because it keeps on freezing
all i did was press the font thing and it froze
what the heck is wrong with it and is there any other programs i can install instead of using Microsoft

do you have many fonts in your C:\windows\fonts folder?
