Right, so I like to type in spanish. I do it a lot. Many people here will testify to that. But, I am trying to make is so I dont have to copy and paste the letters with accents and tildes and umloats all the time. Anyone know a way so that I can use said characters outside of Microsoft Word. I mainly want to be able to use in MSN and Internet Explorer.

This (http://tlt.its.psu.edu/suggestions/international/accents/codealt.html) should help.

Works for me. Make sure you put the zero in front of the number code.

All it does is act like I am pressing tab and moves around the clickable options in the window.

Okay, well I've tried it in both MSN and on VT and it works.
Make sure you're pressing Alt 0225 (or whatever the code you need it)

On a laptop you usually have to press Fn + Num Lock, then use the number pad keys, not the numbers across the top.

Andy beat me to it D:
Around the right side of your keyboard there should be blue numbers on some of your keys. Once you press Fn+Num Lock, you should be able to press Alt and use those.

Sorry, not trying to be mean, just sounds really extreme to change the configuration of your keyboard.

To put in the accents on the letters, press ctrl + alt + (the letter)! E.g. ctrl + alt + e = ้
