"Santa" smiley

I was looking up the smilies and I found one with the code : santa :

And it doesn't look like Santa at all. Nor does the : santa3 : smiley either. Can someone explain this?

I can hardly see Santa in the second one. You can only see from his nexk down. The first one doesn't even look like Santa.
