I don't know whats wrong with me. I have been so depressed lately. I'm always at home not having a social life.
Everything I do I regret doing.
Like punching that wall last night because I was so mad.
I would like for my mom to know how I feel towards my dad. I hate him so much he just makes me more depressed because of what he says to me.
I punched a lamp post the other day, don't know why but I did.
I know that I need help I just don't want it because i don't know I guess im afraid.
What should I do guys?

Well here's a tip. Don't fight walls and lamposts. You'll never win.
If you need to take your anger out on something, try your pillow or ask for a punch bag to take your anger out on it.

Well, I would say that if you want to tell your mum about your feelings towards your dad, but find it too difficult to do. You could always write it down and give it to her.
That way you'll get it off your chest and you may feel better about yourself.
But I'm not promising anything good from doing that..only you know how your mum will react. So I'm saying think about it first, before you do anything.

yea I probably shouldn't have punched the wall and lamp post.
I was just really mad and my emotions took over me.
thanks I think I might write a letter but idk

I kicked a hole in my wall once... Try your mattress, it has some resistance but won't break too easily.

Writing it down would probably be best. Just leave it somewhere she'll find it so she can read it when she's not with you. Then it's not awkward or anything.

I feel you about your dad though. Mine too.

How often are you like this? Are you like this often? Do you ever feel very happy and almost euphoric for a few hours, as if you can't sleep? Help me answer some questions:

-How do you feel about your body image?
-How are you doing in school?
-Do you have any boyfriends/girlfriends and what has been going on with them recently?
-Have you lost a loved one?
-When was the last time you interacted with your friends?
-When you look at yourself in the mirror, what do you think?
-How many times today did you focus on the fact that you are depressed?

Please help me answer these questions, so I can help you.

I'm like this pretty often, it's sorta on and off one day im find then next im not.
I lost my grandma 3-4 months ago I never got to say goodbye because i was at an overnight camp i was really close to her.
The last time I saw my friends was at school on Thursday, the last time i actually saw them on my own time was 3 weeks ago.(with the exception of last night)
I usually don't focus on my depression but for the past 2 months it's been soo bad I can't stop thinking about it.

Find yourself a counsellor - your school should have one that comes in during the school week - so you can learn to deal with these feelings. It won't get better if you try to deal with this on your own.

I definitely agree you should either find a councilor at school or find a therapist outside of school that you visit often. A school councilor can help a lot especially during school if your struggling and just feeling sad you can go to this councilor and its a good way to get out of class (at least you could do that at my school)

Desi, a lot of the stuff you've talked about over time would suggest that therapy is really in order here. I think you're telling this to yourself, too, that's maybe what these behaviors are saying. And they're getting worse, maybe b/c you're not listening?

Until you finally listen to yourself and get someone to talk with, try to avoid expressing yourself with your actions, as you might really hurt yourself. Find another way to get this stuff out, like keeping a journal or taking a walk or reading a good book, OK?
