iPod Touch Questions

Ok, so I'm getting an iPod Touch 16gb for christmas, but need to know a few things before I know it's worth getting.

1. Does the internet access only work while in areas that allow WiF?
2. If yes, will the WiFi ask for passwords if they're encrypted?
3. Can you use all different websites? Can I go watch videos on youtube, or come on VT and view/post things from the iPod? Can I browse through images in Google?
4. How many games come on the iPod Touch brand new?
5. Can you download more applications and games for your iPod Touch, without paying for them via the internet on a computer, and then somehow putting them onto the iPod manually? (Yes I know it's illegal).

4. i dunno i bought the older version 32GB HD like 3 months before the new ones came out and there wern't any games you can buy games through the APP store on itunes

Since kodie answered the majority I'll just answer the last two :P
4. You get a section of free games, some apple made, some user made.
5. You get lots of games for free however I wouldn't try to download games that are meant to be paid for, just incase it ruins your itouch
