When I wake up, this is about the 5th time, my mouth is dry and I have a strep throat like feeling and I drink water and it still has the strep throat feeling so when I eat an ice cube it starts to feel better

This happens to me a lot.

If you have a cold, and your nose is stuffy, this can cause it. You will most likely be breathing through your mouth if your nose if filled causing your mouth to go dry and a sore throat.

You could try taking a decongestant before bed, or nose spray.

The sore throat feeling should go away after a little while. Usually about 20 minutes for me.

I get this alot too. Almost every morning. I just drink some water or orange juice and after a while it goes away.

Yeah, this happens to me all the time. I have a deviated septum, so I breathe through my mouth whilst sleeping (as well as snore, yay). Is just basically your mouth dries out whilst your sleeping, try keeping a drink bottle with some juice in it beside your bed (I say juice, but this is just sort of a personal preference as I've found straight water can sometimes make my mouth feel drier).

Drinking a lot of water before bed can help.

its probablly just a bit of drainage. i would try an anti-histamine (benedryll) before bed. only use it if you know it is ok. make sure you dont have any kind of allergie to it. im not a doctor so this is my disclaimer for my advice.
