Ok, from another post in this forum I was just wandering if someone could tell me who and where and why decided on the sins.

As I'm not religious anyway I'll be all pesimistic and one viewed on this topic, but I would like to know this.

Thank You.

if you mean a sin in a traditional way than church decides.if you mean in a formal way.you have law.sins were made out by people.and i despise most things men created.
anyway.to me.only homicide is a sin.cause we take another's person right to live.everything else is free will.

From a religious view, sins are brought forward in the book Leviticus in the Bible. In this book, God lays forth what are sins and what punishment shall be for these sins. In the end of the book, God says you will be forgiven for all sins, basically if you believe in Him (I think...I haven't really read the bible, so I don't know for sure). There are also the ten commandments which provide the basic background for many laws today, except for the 1st and 2nd commandment (if I remember the ten commandments correctly, which I doubt I do).

They did? I'm not catholic, so I have no idea what goes on in the Vatican, nor do I care.

Vatican can go suck it. I conform by Jesus, not Benedict.

Anyway...

Sin: transgression of divine law

So, sin is going against anything God says. So, if God says not to eat cheese, and you go and eat cheese, its a sin.

Who decided what is sin? God.

Where was it decided what is sin? God is everything... so... everwhere?

When was it decided what is sin? Since God let us know.

You can shoot all the bluejays you want, but remember, its a sin to kill a mockingbird.

I agree with that. I don't mean any offense to any Catholics when I say this, but the Catholic church is quite corrupt and I don't like that. Once again, I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'm just stating fact there.
