well i was thinking about getting a piercing but my mom does not want me to go a tattoo parlor to get my piercing.
now this is my question
Is it safe to do your own piercing or will it cause damage?

Well, I wouldn't do it. Not to be mean, but people who do peircings know or should know where veins are, and what if you hit one? It's just the blood factor, maybe you could do it maybe you can't but I'm leaning towards it being not safe.

ears -- yes, with limitations(meaning, don't do an industrial at home, that can't end well.)

lip -- PLEASE don't. Like greg said, what if you hit it wrong? .. whilse i don't think a lip peircing would look bad on you, please get it profecionally done

Its really not safe to do it at home unless you know how, and you have the right equipment
Any piercing that is done incorrectly can cause damage, and or get infected
Just go to a nice ear piercing place, maybe not the tattoo parlor... Or is your mom against any piercings done by professionals?

no the thing is at all the piercing places they only to ears and noses
so they told me to go to a tattoo parlor to get it done
and my mom is not a fan of them sticking a needle through me then taking it out and have then put a earing in

Hmm so your mom doesnt want you having a piercing at all?
Or just not by the tattoo people?
Maybe you could keep looking for a regular piercing place that will do lips?

Ah, ok, so try looking around for another piercing place that does lip piercing
Im sure there are some around your area, maybe a little but of a drive
