Well, us boys are puss's especially at the age of 12-14. We especially like it if a girl starts talking to us, even if we don't like her and she starts talking to us and looking into our eyes. and it dosn't matter what you talk about. try to laugh and make jokes he would make, or make fun of him sort of(maybe not) but after a girl talks to us a few times we kind of think "omg does she like me?" "i think i'm starting to like her, i wanna askher out but im affraid she dosn't like me" so after you talk to him everyday for liek a week or every other day, the biggest suprise of his life would be for you to be like "so... do you wanna go out with me cutie?" and if he says no, don't be embarassed, i mean you will be.., but play it off. Be liek "pfft, fine then jerk" and still try talking to him atleast finish the conversation, and it dosn't matter if you talk again or not. he's not gonna have the guts ta make fun of you or anything, and if he does, tell the teacher he's making fun of you.

syd had great suggestions. i have only one thing to add to that. even if the guy does say no he will be flattered that you like him. after all if one girl likes him there's bound to be others. and if he does turn you down then try to create (or maintain) a friendship with him. cuz you never know...over time being friends with him may turn to your advantage as he may grow to like you.
