Protest Suicide: Breathe

she cries herself to sleep at night
unsure of what to feel
she cries herself to sleep at night
she hopes it isnt real

she smashes the mirror over and over
she hates her stupid face
she smashes the mirror over and over
she thinks shes a disgrace

you miss the way she laughed
the way she used to smile
you miss the way she was happy
its been gone for quite awhile

you notice how shes changed
her eyes glued to the floor
you notice how shes changed
its hard to just ignore

she thinks of suicide
it overwhelmes her thoughts
she thinks of suicide
and she thinks of it a lot

she tells you all shes feeling
this wishing she could die
she tells you all shes feeling
you just ask her why

you yell at her, she has to stop
you really start to pray
you cry to her, she has to stop
you cant lose her this way

you tell her that you love her
she stares into your eyes
you tell her that you love her
she almost seems surprised

you say that its not worth it
to end her life so soon
you say that its not worth it
and finally, she heard you
