Like the others have stated , those are false. But it will get red if you're allergic to the lube down their. So check out if you have any allergies. A safe common one people use is hand lotion. NOTE* Some hand lotions are meant for medication.

well it can get red from being sore if you it rubs to hard etc but not like a perminant colour change.
Are you circumcised? if not then your foreskin will roll back and forwards negating the need for lube ;) and guys who are cut may not have to use lube anyhow.
