Miley Cyrus Not Dead. The Internet Lied to Us?!

Another bit of our innocence was cruelly stomped on and destroyed this past weekend when a hacker broke into Miley Cyrus' YouTube account and posted a fake video claiming the 'tween pop sensation had been killed in a car accident. Set to the music of the singer's latest single, "Goodbye," the video included a message that claimed to have been written by Cyrus' best friend, Mandy Jiroux.
"Hey guys, this is Mandy and I have some very sad news :( .. We're very hurt to tell everyone this, but Miley died this morning after being hit by a drunk driver," the message read. "Miley told us if anything ever happened to her then we should let her fans know before the public..R.I.P. honey, we will miss you so much."
But just as we were putting the finishing touches on our tear-stained Hannah Montana memorial collage, the real Jiroux told E! News that Cyrus was alive and well and that "a hacker" was responsible for the ghastly video. If you can't trust something you read on the Internet, what can you trust?
Later, Jiroux posted on her MySpace page: "some1 hacked the miley and mandy youtube account and we cant get back into it just yet!! MILEY IS OK!!"
We knew in our hearts that she was telling the truth because Jiroux saves the double exclamation points for when she's super duper serious, you guys.
The hacker's video is in the process of being removed from YouTube, although we would have appreciated it more if they had done that before we ordered 500 commemorative T-shirts with "Miley will always be in Cyrus" on them.

wow this really does prove that you can't trust the internet
