I've been interested in the issue of race and love lately (in my introduction I did mention I had numerous interests), stemming from my own preference to asian girls (ha). I would like to know how widespread this is. I decided to poll you guys to see if there were any trend.
simply put, if you're interested, jolt down your ethnicity and the ethnicity you prefer in a partner, if any (if you don't care, check "don't care", simply). it is perfectly possible that you prefer your own ethnicity. once you've done that, I would like to know why you prefer that ethnicity.
if you have numerous preferences, check the strongest. feel free to add the less strong ones in full after the checks. a preference does not mean it is exclusive, it means just that, a preference. I would still date a white girl, even if I do strongly prefer asians.
once you've jolted down both, I would also like to know why. please try to be as honest as possible while maintaining a reasonably politically correct discourse. it could be physical appearance. it could simply be because you've felt more comfortable around x ethnicity. it could even be because of the perception you have of this ethnicity, eg. you're acting on stereotypes (if this is the case, do not elaborate. I'm curious to a fault but I don't want verbal altercations here).
lastly, here is a small message to mods. this is a topic I've had the idea for late at night, on a curious impulsion. I understand that the topic can be sensitive. if you'd rather not take risks, feel free to lock. do so as well if this violates the TOS in any way (I looked for a copy to be sure, but didn't find one, but I didn't look hard). I do trust in the maturity of the members.
remember, this is only for curiosity's sake. play fair, buddies. a racial preference does not mean inherent racism.
