I think my other computer has a virus. The start bar wasn't working, so I turened it off, and when i try to turn it back on it loads the start screen, then flashes a blue screen with text on it, and loads again. Is this a virus? Should i try booting my compuer with the windows cd?

yes it sounds like you got the BSOD

Blue screen of death

has happened ONCE on this laptop that i am on now, happened when i was being hacked that second and hacker was controlling my mouse, cd drive everything and typing hahahaha ove rmy pc, so i basically pulled the plug

start ur norton, if it wont let u start the norton that means that u have a virus fur sure . . the safest thing you can ever do is pull the plug and wait until you know exactly what to do . .

we have geeksquad. If i can fix it myself, i'd like to. I don't want to have to tell my mum, because I'm going to get blamed for it, even though I wasn't the one on the computer. I can't even get to safe mode.

boot to the xp cd and install windows over your current installation

DONT FORMAT

just install over then run a virus scan from trendmicro.com when you can get into windows

sometimes man a install of xp is to far gone to repair though so if nothing else works format and start over

if you need to save data put the hdd in another computer and pull sutff off of it
