microsoft
I really have never messed around with apple besides on school computers and i think they suck . . plus many games and applications for windows cant be run on apple. . .you COULD get that one windows thing update to be able to run windows programs and all but that like SO defeats the prupose of getting an apple . .
apples are only to be used in movies and schools ,sorry

Both, to be fair, have their strengths and weaknesses. Microsoft's OS is unreliable, Apple's newest has only crashed on me five times in two years' use. Windows, however, does have the best selection of software.
As for whether Macs have a command line, yes they do. As Mac OS X is basically Unix made to look nice, it has a full console system. Generally it's found under Applications:Utilities:Terminal.
So yes, anyway, I use a Mac for basically everything, and I like Apple's software. Pages is very much an adequate replacement for Word, and is MUCH less pricey.
Linux I gave up on last month when it kept freezing.
Disjointed post, sorry.
