Why do people put massive 10,000 by 10,000 pixel images in their signature?

It totally stuffs my screen up.

Could there be a limit to the physical size of the image?

For example, look at a post from "ThatCanadianGuy" and you'll see what I mean. The image in terms of size (KB's, MB's) is large and it distorts the page as it is so big on the screen.

Actually, now its ok (sort of) to put lard images in your signature because most people have the image resizer to its default, 500 x 375.

You can find your image resizer by going to "User Control Panel (User CP), go to "Edit Options" and scroll down and you'll see "The Image Resizer" section a little more than half way down the screen and you can set it to whatever you want it to be.

I cant see why people cant resize it before uploading?

Unfortunately that's the best we can offer at this time. If it bothers you too much you always have the option of disabling signatures in your control panel.

Or you can go through and resize everyones images for them :P
That would be a little extreme though.
