I'm Australian but was circumsized.
Most of my mates aren't done.
Just kind of feel like a freak in a way. Is it normal for a guy to be done here?

I wouldn't say normal, but it isn't uncommon to be circumsized here.
It really doesn't make a difference anyway though, it doesn't change anything except you're less likely to get a STI.

Being cirucumcised does not mean that you are a freak. Wherever you are. It might be different to other people, but that doesn't mean that your: a)A freak b) Strange or wierd.
As I'm not an aussie I have no clue as to what the majority of people there have done so....
There aren't many here in the UK, but then again, i'm in a generally only white and black people area. We don't have a wide range of ethnics here....no we do actually just not on a huge scale like Southampton or Portsmouth.

no, it isn't weird Johnathan, but it may be more uncommon in some parts of the world then others.
take for an example, Papua New Guinea. There are many tribes of natives there, and many practice circumcision on ALL males at age 13, while in canada for example, it is about a 2/5 fraction for cuts to uncuts. but i have no idea what it is in the oz. maybe somebody should ask stephen.

why does that matter? the bulk of australia is anglican or protestant. either one. its all christianity. and if your implying that if your a different religion, you will be born circumcized, you are sadly mistaken.
but yes, some religions do practice circumcision, like Judaism for example, but it is normal to be jewish and not be circumcised. it's all up to your parents.

In light of this information you cannot really compare yourself with the average Australian. For the longest time most American males were circumsized, and it is not a fair comparison to try to evaluate yourself with an Australian male when it comes to being cut/uncut. I am sure that it was hard moving to a foreign country, and my guess is that you want to fit in like anyone else. However, realize that you are an American and that folks have to understand that you are going to be somewhat different due to your American background. Being circumcised is hardly a big deal, and I would not worry about it too much.

i was circumcised when i was age 6 . cause i had phimosis which meant i had a tight foreskin which could not retract. furthermore my pee was like always going all over the shop and my parents were getting tired of cleaning after me.
so one day my dad observed me peeing and decided that i should be cut as soon as possible during the june holls.
the op was performed without any kind of anastatic and i cried like a mad boy... i was able to see my dick getting trimed and was in alot of pain (i think the doc used a gomco clamp).
now my family lives in perth but i together with 3 of my 5 bros were circumcised in singapore as thats where we were born. the other two youngest were recently circumcised together at age 6 cause they are twins. their op was done here in perth.
i have seen a few boys here in my school during shower time and i think abt 45% are cut. i am still unsure of the circumcision rate here as am i of the circumcision rate in singapore. can any one enlighten me ??

I'm from NSW, Aus, and personally I'm not circumcised.
However, I don't think that it is really a serious issue. I have heard rumours of circumcision relating to christianity (not sure of the truth in these rumours).
I know my next door neighbour had to get circumcised at age 11 or so, because apparently he couldn't urinate, as the foreskin had closed up over the head of the penis.
I wouldn't have a clue what the circumcision rate is here, but I wouldn't worry too much at all. Its probably close to 50/50, but then again, it might be like 90/10.
Myself and my little bro aren't circumcised, but I do know of cases of people who are. Don't feel like a freak, its pretty much perfectly normal.
