Why...

Why do I keep on looking at my wrists and thinking,
"It'd be so easy... no mistakes like last time."

The skin is so soft.
The veins are so near the surface,
Begging to be opened up.

I've only cut twice today...
Shouldn't that count for something?

I feel so demented right now.
Trapped between just crawling in bed with my mom,
Or letting the blood flow.

I'm trapped inside my head.
I cannot deal with these emotions.

I really need my madre so much right now.
But she's going to be in Washington until next Wednesday.

I should have said something to her before I left her house this morning,
But no. I convince myself that I can do it on my own when I can't.

She knows what's been going on,
I wrote her a letter about it a few days ago.

I feel so alone.
I hate myself.
