I just got an email from Epic Games (Yeah, the creators of Gears of War and Unreal Tournament), and guess what...I GOT THE INTERNSHIP!!! They were looking for a high school student who could show up and help a day or two a week (at no pay, but whatevs) and help out in their newly opened New York office. I talked to the guy that was running the place because he knows my uncle that lives nearby. I went for the interview, and apparently they didn't make themselves well known, so it was between me and only two or three other guys, but I was the one with the most experience. I'm very excited, this'll look great for my college applications!

Thanks guys. Unfortunately, I have no clue what "helping out" means, so I hope it'll be something hands-on and not "go get me coffee and watch what I do".

So, I haven't really kept you guys up to date like I promised; I guess it's because on Monday, they had to cancel because of some meeting in North Carolina, so I went yesterday.

Well, here is goes. The job wasn't nearly as cool as I thought it would be, i pretty much just do Excel spreadsheet stuff. They have a lot of people that want to use their Unreal engine, so what I do is first, check if hte company actually exists. Then, I see if the company is in their database; if they are, I move on. If not, I check the "hot list" to see if the company is already being considered. And...that's my job. I pass the spreadsheet along, and that's that.
