Hey,

Ive just found out im getting (or if i choose to get) the Tetnus/Polio/Diptheria Vaccine in school. I often seriously panic when someone sticks something in my arm.

Could someone please tell me where in your arm they put the needle?

Thanks,

Poolie.

Oh i had this about....five months ish ago.
It's fine...I wasn't worried about it but it was quick.
It depends which hand you write with. If your right handed (like me) they put it in your left upper arm. You get a tiny tiny scar. That's it.

Oh and i will warn you. My arm went really num, it was so wierd, but it didn't hurt, it was funny actually.
So don't worry about it. :-)

Damn, thanks anyway. I was hoping they would shove it under my upper arm cause i dont bruise there, every other jab ive had on the top ive bruised like an apple.

spose ill go for it then,

Cant be as bad as the bloody ones i had 2 have when i was in hospital.

No, definatley not. The ones in hospital use huge needles. These are quite small, and as long as you look away. You don't really feel anything. OK!

The DPT vaccine is really not bad at all, and it is usually injected on one's upper arm. It really does not hurt much, and you should be fine. A standard sized needle is used, and it really is not bad. Just don't look at the needle or at your arm when you are being injected, and you will be fine.
