My guess is that most guys start to retract their foreskins when they start masturbating which happens around the time puberty starts. I would say that most guys would start retracting their foreskins as early as 11 and go onwards from there.

Keep in mind that it might take some time to retract your foreskin as you need to very gradually pull it back. It is not uncommon for guys as old as 17/18 to have tight foreskins, and if you are having no success retracting your foreskin despite your efforts, then there is no problem to see a doctor. Tight foreskins generally are not too serious, and your problem could be solved with something as simple as a medicated cream.

well you could retract your foreskin in grade 2, or when your a 70 year old man. there is no age in when you should retract your foreskin.

You can do the following to stretch your foreskin so it comes back more easily:

Pull your foreskin back all the way for about 5 minutes
Jack off
Repeat once a day for a month


You should see improvement after only a few weeks. But remember, don't, ever, under any circumstances should you ever pull your foreskin back completely so far that it rips. It will be a pain the likes of which you have never felt and will never feel again.

This part I don't get... my foreskin was extremely tight before, and I've only jacked off once in my life, and I was able to get it back in a couple of weeks just by pulling it back a little each day while I was in the shower. I do not believe that this part is necessary at all.

But the other advice is correct. It will take different amounts of time for each person to be able to fully retract their foreskin, and there isn't necessarily a "normal age" when boys start to do it. If you ever have problems, just go see your doctor and he will probably give you some steroid cream which will loosen up the foreskin.
