Clique...?
My school has distinct clique system
Of course they are insanely judgemental, but this is mainly how people think of it:

Girls
Cool girls,
Sporty (mostly soccor) cool girls,
Creepy/ugly girls,
Very unpopular girls

Boys
Sporty cool guys,
Cool guys,
Nerdy guys

Well.. yes and no...

basiclly the average stuff.. what nick said.

but, our school has a very disticnt female-stoner group and male-tough-guy/wannabe-ganster group too

oh and a small group of male-dorky-weiros

Normally i don't judge people by steryotype, but yes i avoid the stoners and violent/wannabe-gangsters, for obvious reasons

Reason i say yes and no, is because there is some overlap.. some 'preppy' girls are also intelegent, most girls in sports are popular, idiot guys are more or less loosers.. you see where the overlap can happen

I have never been to a school with "Cliques" Everyone was pretty much friends with whomever they wanted and you could pretty much sit with anyone at lunch.

My high school kind of did.

You had your athletes...most of which were also your honor students.
A few computer nerds.
A large group of partiers. (most of the school, so idk if this is really a clique. I'll just say the major partiers who were drunk every weekend...all weekend)
A small group of goth/people who would have beat our asses if we messed with them.

I think that is about it...I didn't really fit into any of those groups, but the closest was the athletes/kids with honors (I know, not your normal athletes).

I guess I'll add...people pretty much hung out with everyone...this is just how the closer friends were arranged.

Hm, the reason i didn't include the goth/emo thing is because most people who'ed fall unnder that more acurately fall into other groups [me being one of them.. apparently.. eh i dont mind being a freak]

My high school didn't really have cliques.
Everybody was friends with everybody for the most part.
We only had a student body of 800 or so.

But if I HAD to give categories out...

Assholes/Bitches- 20% of the student body
The people who hate everybody- 15% of the student body
And then everybody else- 65% of the student body

I was with the 'everybody else' group.

In our school, msot people are the same.
But there's that "different" and "unique" group of people which i so happen to be in :D

The girls are all into smoking, drinking, weed, partying all night, sex etc
and the boys are pretty much the same I guess (but they tend to brag about getting laid 24/7). Other people are either nerds, creeps, perverts, bimbo "barbie dolls", sporty and etc.

Our "unique" group usually get called stuff like emo, greb, scene, moshers, stupid unrelevant stuff really :S

CLIQUES ARE PATHETIC ¬__¬ normally i don't judge, and i don't "label" myself. I just like the interests, music, clothes etc I like :)

Quite simply, there are two main categories. Popular and unpopular. The popular kids include jocks, cheerleaders, preps, and the attractive people, etc. The unpopular kids are everyone else (goth, nerds, normal, etc.).

We don't have any 'seperation' by drugs. I do/did drugs. I stayed in my own group.

We really don't have too distinct cliques. I guess there's a few.

For guys:
The browns and the wannabes - Really, a bunch of Mexicans/Texans and some white kids that want to look cool. Many of them fail. Note not all the brown-skinned males are in here. Just a lot of them.

Sports kids - Not necessarily jocks, but follow the sports a lot. Usually in sports.

Wannabe good at sports kids - Not many. Just a few. Know enough about sports not to be put as an outsider.

Outsiders - Pretty much little/no friends. Guys and girls mingle in this shared group a lot more.

Geeks - Yea. Geeks. (Not nerds. There's a difference.)

Floaters - Hang out with everyone but the BA's. Know enough about sports to be with them, usually smart enough for geeks, all that fun stuff.

BA's - 2BA4U unless you've gotten smashed and woke up with no recollection. Most of them play guitar, and a lot of them broke into a school over the summer. Dumbsheets.

Wannabe BA - Of course. Usually come from outsiders group. Just tag with the BA's and get ripped on.

For girls:
The ones that think they're popular - Mostly sluts. A lot claiming to be bisexuals, but a few have admitted to me personally that they just do it to tease guys and turn them on. Jerks......

Sports - There's a few. Just like sports. Lots of the others like sports too, but some of them have nothing else.

Flirts - The subtle ones. They're flirting, but they don't do it to the point where you end up physically touching them like the wannabe populars.

Danceline - ....... I have hints about what goes on at danceline from a friend and my girlfriend. A very.... Odd place. They all seem to have that in common. There are few in there that are outsiders. They also seem to have an inside joke about dropping their pants. Weird....

Outsiders - Less of them than guys, but mingle with the guy's outsider group a lot. They usually seem a lot happier actually.

Floaters - Same thing really.

Actual sluts - Sex, drugs, rap. Where did the rock&roll go people?! That's all they do. Most of them just pretend to be really drunk to have guys 'take advantage' at just about every party.

Both have schoolies that don't fit into a group, but too diverse to be generalized by pretty much anything besides being schoolies. I can't put too much on them because I don't hang with a lot of them. Mostly girls.

Me, I don't really fit in. Not even with the floaters. I have a friend or two from every group. I don't really hang out with the same people a lot except for a close group of 4 friends.

Cliques don't dictate a lot here, but people still fit in them. I don't put anyone out by they're clique. Sometimes I avoid certain groups of people, but it's usually because they all need help with their homework.

Cliques (approximate guesstimatation of percentage of my middle school[there is overlap])
Guys-
Nerds/Geeks: 40%
Wangsters: 5%
Normal: 60%
Sportsy/"Cool" (Inconsiderate Drunks who are failing school): 10%
Offbeat: 5%
Girls:
Normal: 60%
Nerds/Geeks: 20%
Offbeat:15%
Skater:10%
Screechy (Jonas Brothers Fans, etc.) 10%

I Belong to Nerd(40%) /Offbeat (60%). In my school their arn't really any cliques, everyone mostly hangs out with everyone.
I have friends in Nerd, Normal, Wangster, Skater and Offbeat.

P.S. The lower concentration of Sportsy people is due to it being a private school with like a 40 person middle school.

At my school it's basically all mixed up since most of us came from the same middle school, but different elementaries. People drift from group to group, so there aren't really defined groups.

I have come to the conclusion that to be not normal is normal.

-------not really punk
----definately not emo
--------not quite goth

My school has one, but not very strict...lol

It's like all the jocks/sports players hang out near the office with the cheerleaders and the studious students hangout together. Other than that, not much cliqueing going on.

Who here has a very distinct qliupe system in there school
