i think you should go to the high school thats going to have the classes you want. you will most likely meet new people and make new friends at the new school. so although its a big decision, i think it would be a good one to make, besides, you need to put your future first by doing the subjects you want.

Yup, I'd have to agree with Gumleaf here, if the school you want to go to has all the classes you want and some of your friends are going, then give it a go!
You can make new friends as well as keeping the old ones, weekends are the best time to hang out with friends anyway.
Another good thing is that you'll always have something new to talk about with them.

Yes, it'll take a bit of time to settle in and make new friendships, but when you do you can enjoy your new school to the fullest by doing the stuff you want, with the people you want.

Either way I think you'll have a load of fun no matter where you go; highschool is so much better than secondary or primary in every way.

It's not really up to me to decide for you though, it's your decision and a pretty big one at that, so give it some thought and tell us what you decide to do when you're ready.

You can take this or leave it, but the fact remains that when one enters high school one gradually starts to enter new cliques and develop new friendships. Due to folks growing mentally along with getting involved in many new activities one will find that they may sometimes drift away from their old elementary school and junior high school friends.

My basic point here is that it is a very unwise thing to do to base your high school choice strictly upon friendships. You need to choose the high school with the strongest academics and the one that is best for your future. You need to choose the school that will best prepare you for college or post high school life if college is not in the plans for you. The reality is that at the end of your time in high school there is a high probability you might have a different group of friends than when you started. It is not a bad thing if you get new friends, but if you base you life future on some junior high school friends, then you are playing Russian roulette with your future.

My suggestion is to sit down with your family and talk about which school is going to be the best fit for you. Look over each school's academics, extra-cirrcular activites, and facilities as those things, among others, are going to make or break your high school experience.
