My grandparents live in florida. We went to the super market for some food. We ask a mexican "do you know where the hot fudge is?"
he started speaking spanish to us, then he held up his finger to show he would be back in a moment. well he never came back.
So we ask an american. He said sure, and within 30 seconds we had our hot fudge

But when you start to have 2, 3 different languages in one country, it will be as difficult as hell to communicate. And haveing more than one language makes it able so that we can not communicate. Then there would be a breakdown.
We should now learn how to speak 2 or 3 different languages, we should speak the one we already have so as not to screw everything up

What pisses me off are immigrants who can't speak the language. I think if you want to come to CANADA to live, you need to speak FLUENT and CLEAR english or french. That's the way it is.

but its not so easy to learn a language and be able to speak it properly. i have learned irish for 13 years now and german for 6, yet i still cant speak it properly and english is a very hard language learn.

thats very easy for you to say they dont even try and learn. they are suddenly immersed in the language, they have to try and communicate by picking up bits and pieces of the language which would be considered trying to learn. they cant learn any other way cause most of the time they wont have money to be able to afford to go get proper leasons in how to speak it.

but they do. you cant just learn a laguage over nite, it takes years to perfect and be able to speak a language. and its harder when your in an environment where the majority speak the language and you ahve to try and pick it up on your own.

spainish is the third most spoken language i think, its 3rd or 4th, but its set to become a very strong laguage in the are of business because of south america and latin america. i think u shud be able to speak at least one other language, not just english.

why? ive been to quebec many times ( a french speaking part of canada) and i got by fine. sure i took french courses from grade 1 till 9 but i didnt really learn it. barely passed last year. thank god it was my last year of it.
