Does your school recieve commentary instead of letter grades, or do you prefer the commentary? I don't know what Endocrinology is, but if you're taking all AP courses I imagine that you have a pretty challenging course load.

Well the commentary is just a bonus, and the homework is weekly for ap classes. E.G you get one assignment from each class a wekk usually I can do culinary real quick and history too, then calc and endocrinology will take me a bit of time.

^^ Lucky bastard, you don't have to deal with having 5 honors course and an AP course, and being as lazy and uncaring as me. I won't know my exact grades until around next weekend, but my grades are something like this (keep in mind I still have several MAJOR tests/essays/lab reports to take[do]/get back):
English 2 Honors: A-
Algebra 2-Standard: A (there are no A+'s in my school)
Spanish 3-Honors: A
AP US History: B+ (Maybe 2-3 of the 23 kids in my class have A's or even A-'s right now)
Creative Writing 2 Honors: A
MCAS-Honors (a computer course): A
Chemistry Honors: B (possibly a B+ as we still have two major grades pending)
Driver's Ed: A
Looking back on these, if this is accurate, I'm not in as deep shit as I thought I'd be with my dad.

^^Well, you're still in middle school right? The point I was trying to make is that middle school is MUCH easier than high school. Trust me on that. I got straight A's without trying or studying in the hardest classes available in middle school (and the only "leveled" class was math), but then come freshmen year of high school I completely f-ed up the first marking period thinking I could get away with not studying/paying attention. And I still haven't really been paying attention, and my grades have been effected by that. I should be a straight A student. Instead I'm, for the most part, an A-/B+ student [in the important classes].

Trust me, you HAVE TO pay attention in AP classes, and you HAVE TO study. Very few people can get away with not studying in those classes. The only people I know who can do that have insane memories or insanely high IQ's (high enough to get them into Mensa).

question: what's the difference between AP and honors? i thought they were the same

AP = College course you can take in high school. INSANELY DIFFICULT, MOSTLY INDEPENDENT WORK (i.e. no homework, no work in class, you pretty much have to learn everything on your own or your fucked.) There are some easy AP classes, but those are usually electives/not core classes.
Honors = Toughest available "high school" course. MOST honors courses are pretty easy. As you get higher up they can get tougher. With a good teacher they're usually easy, with a shit teacher (like the one I have for Spanish) they can be hard and require shit loads of studying.

AP and Honors are the same thing in many school
AP=Advanced Placement,
Honors=Honors course
Both are the highest you can get

AP, no matter what school you go to, is a course offered in college AND high school.
Honors is only offered in high school. That's the point I was trying to make. And most courses either have AP OR Honors, not both. But still, AP is HARDER than honors in 99% of public high schools.

AP Physics - A- (This one's a beech, I have to go an hour early to take the course; it's a "period 0" course)
BC Calc - A (I have no clue how I managed an A...)
AP Comp Sci - A+ (Duh, I've been programming for a while now, this course is cake...)
Humanities - A (My favorite class; double period, but very discussion based)
Honors Engineering II - A (We haven't done much so far, we're supposed to be building a robot but we're still waiting for parts)
Video Production - A (I did it for the LOLZ)
Yeah, being a senior rocks.

It's actually better to take an AP class or a Dual Credit class than an Honors class even though it looks better on a resume the AP and Dual Credit will prepare you better for college.
