What I've done before is run water through the item and keep it running until the water coming out of it is clear.. (But this usually only works on clothes where you cant see the blood)
If its on a lighter material.. then try stain remover and soaking it or washing in warm water.
They are the only ways I know of sorry, hope you get it all out.

Unless it's a really old stain you could just use detergent and water, and scrub it with a cloth, It works fine for me.

I usually soak in cold water until I can wash it with something like Oxy-Clean.
Or if it's white and fairly sturdy, just bleach it.

yeah if its fresh run it thrugh with hot water and some type of soap. but if its dried try using some type of strong detergent. Vanish works very well put it on leave it for half an hour to an hour and then put it in the washing machine. it cleaned my cream jacket after a particulerly bad night when i decided to put it on straight after and it soaked through i ended up in passed out and got took to a&e
