Before VT went weird with all the "Server is busy at the moment" messages and the search was turned off, there was like a 30 or 60 second delay between searches
It doesn't do that now. Is it supposed to not have a delay between searcehs, or is that some sort of error?

It could possibly be your internet connection. I'm doubting that though because it's happening to me.

more than likely the server is just under heavy load and because of that is refusing some connections, With the search feature remember that when you search it goes through every single post looking for your search criteria, give it time, I don't know how fast the server or its internet connection is, but you need to remember thats its not a supercomputer. more than likely its just alot of people connecting at once using most of its power and/or internet bandwidth.

Moderators and administrators bypass the searching delay. That does include diary owners since the system sees diary owners and regular moderators as the same thing.
But for everyone else there is a searching delay.

Your internet connection has nothing to do with the time the forums make you wait between searches on the forums. It's an option set by the administrators of the forum.
