What kind of moments in books just make you realize why you love reading?
For me, its those funny moments, that somehow, through those words, they made you laugh.
Or its the moments where you get chills because the suspense and excitement making you want to cry or scream or shout. The dynamic writing.

Cliffhangers!
And moments that literally bring out your emotions... laughing, crying, shock, anger, joy, making you smile... those moments.

I love when I can hide and immerse myself in a book.
When I feel like I'm lifted from the reality I live in to be a part of one I can only dream of.

When the author leads you down one track, then turns it on it's head.
Also when an author can pick just one word that can make you laugh.

There are times when I'm reading a well written book that I stop seeing the words on the page (even though somewhere in my mind my brain is analyzing the words) and start actually seeing a vivid picture of the events happening. It happens a lot when I read... which is why it's saddening that I don't read often nowadays.

I love the moments in a book where the picture is so vivid in my head, I can actually see what is going on.
I also love the moments in a book when it's like an AHA moment. Like you know what is going to happen. The turning point.
