nervousness

Hey, haven't been here for a while because I thought all me problems were solved! haha. Anyroad, I'm 16 and I recently got me a girlfriend and the relationship is going great. But today we were about to have sex for the first time, i'm not going to go into great detail, but we didn't go through with it for another reason which is irrelevant. But at the time, when i was about to put the condom on, i needed a while to "get it up" which is one thing i never expected when about to have sex, especially on this first time. She didn't notice it, but I have a feeling it was to do with nervousness, and i don't want it to happen next time, when we do go through with it, as she might think it's to do with her or something.

I think that when you're truly ready you won't have that problem. I'd say that if you try other things first (I don't know if you have), like oral and whatnot, you will be more comfortable and relaxed when it come to having sex for the first time.
