Do girls...

care about the way a guy looks as much than the way a guy cares about the way a girl looks? I'm not saying I'm only dating this girl because I think she's hot... I really like her for her personality. But...

My girlfriend is one of the prettiest girls at our school (small school, junior class of 62 people, I'm a junior btw) and I am definitely not what you would consider "hot"... I'm overweight (6 foot, 195 lbs), half white half asian, and I have acne problems. She, on the other hand, is skinny, white, and has little to no acne.

So am I just a lucky guy who found a girl who looks past a person's shell, or do girls just see guys differently than guys see girls?

OR... am I just insecure about myself? lol...

Most girls judge guys on personality.. well I do and most girls I talk to do.
Because what good is it if you have a completely hot bf but he is a complete jerk as well.. you just wouldnt get treated right.
Looks shouldnt matter to either sex tbh.. just coz your a guy doesnt mean you have to be obsessed with perfect skin, skinny, nice boobs and arse.. (Not saying that you are.. Im trying to generalise)

Actually I think it's about equal. I think the only reason there seems to be a difference is because the girls assume that the guys are more picky than they are so they go overboard, while guys assume girls aren't as picky as they actually are so they don't try as hard as they should. So I'd say that girls do care about how a guy looks, but just a little effort goes a long way. I like a guy who obviously tries to work with what he's got, even if he couldn't be described as attractive.

i think that we all care about our partners looks but like i have hear beauty is only borrow and for a short time, so what really matters is the inside and be happy with who you are , and i guess you are lucky =]

Well as long as they are clean then i dont think it really matters. Like i mean clean as shower, clean clothes etc. It shows they respect themselves. But ya personality is always number 1 for me.:D
