Okay. I get pretty fed up of people talking about being bi-curious.
I just don't get it, it makes no sense. YOu fancy both genders and yet your curious?
Curious about what? Monkeys.
I'd like to know what other people think on this matter as I feel, to quote Sam, as if i'm shouting into darkness.
I personally can't understand the bi-curious thing, so what do you all think?

Curious about how you'll end up..?

What???
No I don't get it either.
Does it mean....that someone fancy's both genders but finds one more attractive than the other???
That's what I think it means.
But again it's a stupid idea. People, humans, homosapians, us, we, I and you know what is attractive and what is not.
I know that Johnny Depp is attractive but it doesn't mean that i fancy him does it? And it doesn't mean that i'm bi either. AND it certainly doesn't mean that i'm bi-curious because i fancy women more than men.
It makes no sense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Urban Dictionary says:
Bi-Curious
When someone is curious and has sexual thoughts about a person of the same sex.
Dan liked girls, but still had some thoughts about dudes, so he thought of himself as bi-curious.
^^^^^That's utter bull as far as I'm concerned^^^^^^
Nope, I just don't see the point in saying that your bi-curious.
But what I'm saying is that curious and bi-curious are exactly the same THING!
Look what it says "When someone is curious and has sexual thoughts about a person of the same sex" - Which is the definition of being curious, bi-curious is the same thing!

The meaning for curious is just sexual thoughts about the same sex, but bi-curious is sexual thoughts about both sexes. If your curious you just have sexual thoughts about the same sex.. and not about the opposite one. But if your bi-curious you have sexual thoughts about both sexes.
So that is the difference between curious and bi-curious. XD

Yes but if you have sexual thoughts about both sexes, doesn't that mean your just bi?
Yes, it does mean your bi because you have sexual thoughts about both sexes, so your bi.

No.. your just curious about bi-sexuality.
If your bi your physically aznd emotionally attracted to both sexes, but bi-curious you have no start off interest in emotion just the physical part.

Right so your phyically attracted to both sexes. I think I get it.
You have to agree that it's a silly way of describing your orientation though.
As i've said, i still don't believe in it. But at least someone has explained it.

Im glad you finally understand.
It is a silly way of saying it but actually seems like the simplist to me. Because what else would you call it?
Off the subject..

Call it whatever you want but for a lot of people sexuality isn't a black and white perspective.

I no, but that is what I'm getting at. It don't get why people class themselves as bi-curious.
Oh, my head hurts.....this is all to confusing/

Joe!
I think the issue with the term 'bi-curious' is that you might be taking it literally, it's an issue more of semantics than accuacy, it doesn't necessaily indicate sexual awaeness.
One cannot be 'bi' and 'curious' at the same time. Using the term bisexual to describe oneself indicates the completion of the process of sexual awareness and identification.
'Curious', on the other hand, really indicates that process is still underway.
So, the term 'bi-curious' is really an oxymoron, like 'fresh frozen'.
I agree with you about it's inaccurate use by many, but like the process it self, it's ambiguity and imprecision, is part of the overall process of self definition. I mean, the cake isn't really edible until it's out of the oven. Most teens (esp. young 'uns) ae still in the oven.
My concern with the use of the term 'curious' relates more to it's use primarily as an excuse to suspend good judgement to engage in things that might result in some unfortunate consequences. We are, afterall, 'the thinking species', so neglecting to think things thru before doing them really means we're surrendering the one thing that makes us so unique in the first place!

Ah well. You seem to be the only one who's on the same level of thinking as me in this matter.
But your right...

It is a way of saying that they are open to sexual relations with those of the opposite and same sex without writing it in stone. It is almost a label for those who don't want to label themselves as heterosexual, bisexual or homosexual, or who aren't ready to be labelled either way yet.
You are entitled to debate its existence, but if someone labels themself as being bi-curious, then who are we to tell them otherwise?

Oh I completely agree. I'm not trying to be an evil mad man who thinks he's right at everything.
I just didn't understand it, that's all.

I wasn't trying to insinuate that you are "an evil mad man", just offering my two cents.

Ah, thanks for the compliment! But, if you're not a madman who thinks he knows everything, then at least we're different in that respect.

to be honest the whole bi, gay, straight thing is overlly confusing. I dont understand how some can think they are and then go back. It really is okay to be like frustarted. Cuz basically being bi-curious doesnt has a definate defintion. Its like u wanna try both sides. and in my opinion once u try both sides once u cant be curious cuz u know what ur getting. Bi-curious is a phase not so much a stage.

I don't think it's possible for Bi-Curious to end up being someone's orientation for the rest of their lives like being straight/bi/gay, but I think it's a useful description of what happens to a lot of teens when their hormones basically mess with their heads. For example, I'm definately straight, but there was a brief time when I was around 13 where I kept getting "girl crushes". But at the time I couldn't be sure if I would end up being bi or straight, so I couldn't tell whether I was bi or just curious. Therefore, I think that you could treat "Bi-Curious" as shorthand for "bi or curious, I'm not sure which yet", if that helps you.

I COMPLETLY AGREE
Straight curious is one thing, but bi curious makes no sense
