i told my favorite, most trusted teacher that I've been cutting myself. he seemed rather calm and asked me questions, like why did i do this, and how long I've been cutting. then he told me to meet him tomorrow morning at 7:30. I'm kinda nervous about whats going to happen. I'm not sure if the principle and counselor are going to end up there. I'm also worried about answering questions. was this smart telling my teacher?

(p.s i couldn't tell my parents, because they just wouldn't understand, so i decided to tell him)

No, it wasn't a mistake. it was good that you reached out for help. Go tomorrow and tell them what's been going on. Let them help you.

The priority here is getting help so you can feel better and stop cutting. Sometimes it's easier to tell school people than parents, but the bottom line is that any caring adult can act as an advocate for you and help you get what you need to get better.

Good luck!

If you truly do trust this teacher and you believe that he will do the right thing for you and you can't talk to your parents I think that that is one of the best ways of seeking help. You'll just have to wait and see what happens tomorrow to see if it was a mistake or not. I hope it turns out ok and good luck.

it turned out to just me my teacher and i. he helped me a lot today. he talked to me calmly and asked questions. He was very nice! He did recommend me to the counselor, so i went. he was equally nice, but it was harder to talk to him about cutting, idk why.

I the end i swore to stop cutting, for them.
