Kissing is linked with sex. However, kissing is not 'sex', and not really a sexual action.
It's a sign of love between people.

No, the people you talk to have no idea what they are talking about.

Hiya Desi!

The act of kissing can be sexual if it's erogenously intended. Making out, and kissing, ahem, sexual parts, qualifies kissing as 'sexual'.

However, kissing is also a way people communicate basic affection, like when a mother or father kisses their child, or siblings/friends kiss. So, it depends on the intent of the kiss and it's context.

Some types of kiss are more sexual than others. A peck is completely chaste whereas long, deep, passionate kisses are definitely sexual.

Not really But 1 kiss can lead to sex and that happens about 56% of the time..as you have had a GF for about 5 months or less

It really depends on the kiss. Standing is a good sign that it isn't sexual. If you're more horizontal than vertical it probably is. If it takes only seconds it probably isn't; if it takes a few minutes or longer then it probably is.

I don't think so.
I think it's just something you do when you're in love :)
Or when you feel that "connection" towards someone else.
