I got an Idea for the first ever VT sweepstakes,


a lucky winner would be chosen, to be Admin for a day.

it would be a day that one of us, knows what it is like to actually run VT,

the winner would have complete control for just one day.


but the hard part is choosing the type of competiton, so a winner could be chosen.

Eligibility
-person cannot be a new member, ( i dont think it would make sense, since, they just got here)
-someone that Josh or 777 could trust
- I was thinking a certain # of post requirements but im not sure

It a fairly good idea, yes it would have to be someone Josh and Triple7 trust as they could do anything in there..

hmmm... Admin for a day...

Well, it does seem like fun, BUUUT the only thing is that Josh nor 'Triple7' can trust any of us to not take over the site... as admin, u can change boards around, privellege members, and promote and demote members. So in other words, if the person who won the sweep stakes became the Admin, then they COULD make Josh and 'Triple7' normal members!!!! Then who knows what havoc they could wreak!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :?

I dunno, maybe Im taking this too far... but it could happen :?

A: allot of stuff could go wrong
B: it would cause allot of jealousy among many members.

well it prolly would cause jealousy, but Its a sweepstake, so a winner will be chosen. This is not someone that Josh, or 777 just pick, there will be a drawing.

though thats not what I mean Dante! I mean that if Josh or 'Triple7' allows someone to be an admin for a day, then they could change Josh and 'Triple7' to be normal members and then make them ruler of the site... that has never happened before kevin, so I dont know what ur talking about. :?

but really??? O.o It's not anything about computers... Im just saying that they could take over the site in 2 seconds! unless Josh or 'Triple7' installs some mod to make them permanently stay the true Admins :? ...

I'm not for this. Too much could go wrong like taking over the site, banning people, deleting forums, etc.

You can do that with almost any script. :P

major probs:

noobs would feel left out
only mods should be allowed
over 700 posts(because 500 could be attained through spaming)
atleast 6 months membership (meaning not a good idea untill like june)
not admin but global mod- admion is just too much power.
and like a count down sortof thing, like 300 instead of 1000.

look all i was saying was that it would be a good idea, if tghe person becomes admin for a day, obviously they will be certain restriction that u could install, so that he/she wont be able to delete 777 or joshs account, or demote them. I thought it would be a good idea, something to spruce the site up, but i guess it was a bad idea.
