I strongly question the accuracy of this. I'm far more Authoritarian than I am Libertarian, and this says I'm essentially a fence-sitter. The questions lead me to believe that, yet again, my radical centrist views are being "evened out".

quote from my history teacher... "US political parties are a very small section of all afiliations". I find it unlikely that there would be anyone on here that goes too extreme in any one direction

Or you only think you're authoritarian, due to your lack of perspective. The Compass is pretty accurate... much more likely you don't know where you actually stand than they don't.
As for my place, see signature.

Lol, hardly. I'm a communitarian - liberal on economic policy, conservative on social policy. Believe me, if this was anywhere near accurate I would be well within the upper left quadrant. I don't think I'd make it to Stalin, but I'd definately be over that way somewhere. Besides, according to the FAQ authoritarian = completely close-minded to the designers, and this is not the case - especially since private opinion and your views on public policy aren't necessarily the same. At best, I think this is useful for evaluating public figures but not self-evaluation.
