I recently shaved my pubes to see what it was like, and now they have a slight burning feel to them, but not itchy. Is this normal? I'll write my procedure if it helps.
1. Trimmed to short length
2. Wet and applied gel shaving dream
3.Wet razor and shaved up to down
4. Re-applied cream after each stroke
5. cleaned and then applied lotion.

The slight burning could be the new hairs coming through.

could it be a reaction from the shaving cream or lotion?

I don't think its the new hairs coming through since i did it like an hour ago.
and I doubt its a reaction from the lotion or shaving cream since i have used the products before on my face. But it seems to feel better now so i guess it was just some initial irratation.

well maybe since the skin around the pubic area is sensitive anyways, and then you shave off all the hair, then put lotion on it, it irratated the skin.

Razor=abrasion=discomfort.
Apply a thin coating of Vaseline JELLY for a few days.

What I do when I shave is apply rubbing alcohol to the shaved area. It burns at first then it soothes and feels really nice.

Because you used a manual razor not an electric shaver its probably skin irritation
