Ah, my favourite topic, shaving pubes. NOT!!!!
Anyway, by means previously discussed in other forums, my opinion on this is very strong.
NO. Is the answer to that question. Boys are not supposed to shave their pubes at all, it just seems to me like all boys who have started puberty have some sort of macho, Chuck Norris element fascination to shaving off their pubes.
If you do, and don't do it properly, it'll itch and then we get people moaning on here about how the crotch hurts because they shaved their pubes and so on...
So no, boys aren't supposed to do it at all. It's just a weird, thirteen year old esque type thing.

It's honestly up to each individual person. I trim most and shave only a little bit... and it just depends on what you want to do. And in the future it may matter what you do bc some girls prefer trimming, some don't. Generally I have found that the consensus between women is that it is "kind to the girl" to at least trim, if you catch what I'm saying.

Yeah i can see why some boys do it, for the girls. But i don't understand why some boys feel that they have to do it.
And is a girl going to go "Well I like you, your really attractive and have an amazing personallity...but you have a lot of pubic hairs so...your dumped"
I just don't get some people's fascination for doing it. Can someone explain?

your not supposed to shave your pubes. they are there for a reason, what reason? i don't know, but what odds. your don't need to shave your pubes, and its itchy as hell when they're growing back.

All the other pretty much stated it.
It's a personal choice, some people shave it for they think it's more attracting. Even though no ones gonna be looking there. While other keep it as a sign of their " Rough boy physique". While other just really don't care. It's a personal choice. It's not some guy thing that everyones knows about or does.

It IS a personal choice, but an interesting one, all the same. On the one hand, you have guys wondering when/how much/how long/what color their pubes are supposed to be, and on the other, guys who shave them off and look like they're 5 again.

It is a personal choice. I have shaved and trimmed both. I am currently letting them grow back. I still shave my balls and around the base of my penis. I don't feel the itchiness that everyone complains about here. I guess I am lucky.

No. It's just like you don't need to cut the hair on your head. You could grow it out if you want to. It's personal preference. So no, you don't need to shave or trim your pubes. You can if you want to.
Puberty is not as complicated as it seeeems.

It is a personal decision, as the others have mentioned, and there is no right or wrong answer to your question. The logic is shaving ones pubes is that for some guys they get super hairy, and like how a haircut keeps things on your head manageable, a trim down there might assist with keeping the hair in control. Some guys honestly do not like body hair at all which is what prompts them to trim. Also, sometimes a sexual partner might request a guy to trim his pubes which is another reason a person does so.
As for not trimming ones pubes, especially if a person is not particularly hair from the get-go, then trimming might be an exercise in futility. Also, trimming might cause irritation for some guys which is why they shy away from doing so.
Basically, if your pubes are getting in the way, then trimming them is probably your best option. However, if your pubes are not bothering you, then leaving them alone is a fine option.

Supposed to shave? No.
It comes down to comfort. Would you like to have hair there, or not?
I don't like completely shaving it off, so I trim with scissors.

Can't people just leave them alone? They must be there for a reason! I dont understand what the fascination is with shaving them off...
