Just the intro to a story I'm currently working on. This isn't even a rough draft, its not even a draft. Its just how it looks right now. That second paragraph will probably be separated into a few paragraphs eventually and have insane amounts of detail. I'm just getting my thoughts out. This is going to be one interesting story 0.o:
A Storm's A Comin'
When the invading army doesn’t care who they kill or how they kill them, what can you do but sit back and watch your people, your friends and family, get massacred, when you have no way of defending yourself?
It was only a week ago, maybe two weeks ago, when it happened. It all began when we saw the ships docking at the harbor. They were strange compared to what we usually would see. They were much larger than what we were used to and made of metal; they looked like battleships and cruisers, ships of war; rather than what we were used to seeing; fishing boats, merchant ships, recreational ships. When a couple of the local men went to go have a look, they discovered that our assumptions were horrifyingly correct. The ships had cannons on them, foreign flags of a country we had never seen before, and turret machine guns and grenade launchers. The ships were looked like death, and they were staring us right in the face. We were never prepared for what was to happen next. The invasion that was to take place was not like what you hear about in textbooks. What was to come was more than total war; it was to be total annihilation, total and utter obliteration of an entire town of innocent people, for no reason, no reason at all.
