olivia's partner (I can't remember his name) 's daughter is on drugs, and she goes to this one party, then sneaks into the neighbors house and takes a shower in their house, +steals a diamond neckalace, and the guy find shere and she jumps out a window, and they wanna press charges. She is diagnosed bipolar, and she has to go to jail, but not if she is admitted into a psych hospital, but she's manic, and refuses to believe "she's crazy" and she prefers jail. She ends up crashing into depression in jail. So, the dad is desperate to keep his daughter out of jail, and they say if he can prove to the court that she is predisposed to BP, they can force her into treatment. so, he ends up going to his mom's house on the beach, where we find out A LOT about how he grew up, dealing with her severe episodes, and how she too refuses to believe she's BP. At the time, she also appears to be manic, because she looks really happy, and tries to build a sandcastle while her son talks about the time she tried to kill herself, and shot at him, and he was only 8, and hes trying to get her to pay attention, and she goes on and on about getting seashells for the windows, and seaweed for repunnzell's hair flowing down the tower.

So the dad finds the neckalace, and returns it to the people pressing charges, which equates to him giving away any possiblities of his daughter getting free from jail (so that she would be forcively medicated there) and so Olivia finds out about what happened, and locates his mom, and convinces her to help her grandaughter. When she comes, she is dressed in dark colors, very drab, compared to her bright colors and flowy shawl that she wore last time you saw her ( which indicates she was manic, and then crashed) so she goes to jail and talks to her grandaughter, who has then crashed as well, and they relate really well about their experiences (they talk about what it is like to be manic, and depressed, and the crash, etc. The grandma says "its a terrible price we must pay- the higher we fly, the harder we fall") and convinces the grandaughter to accept she needs help, so she goes to a hospital and not to jail.

END SPOILER!!!

Okay, so if you skipped the spoiler, all I'll say is that it is hevaly related to bipolar, and for me, was a VERY intense show. When I say intense, I mean it!! Don't watch this if you are going to be triggered by it! In this episode, no one is raped, or murdered, but certain people have to come to terms with being bipolar. It details feelings and actions associated with episodes, both manic and depressive.

So, did anyone already watch this?? I totally wasn't expecting it to be about BP!! I was shocked, and I found myself on the edge of my seat (well, bed) throughout the entire episode. My eyes were glued to the screen, for me it was vveerryy intense.
