Ok so pretty much all my life I've been suffering from these mood swings that could make me happy one sec and extremely depressed or angry the next. Now I know that most of you guys would say this is just puberty, but the thing is I didn't start puberty till I was 12 and this has been going on all my life. Anoter thing is that I'm very emotional I get upset about the smallest things. So I'm very confused about this stuff. What do you guys think is up?

I mean, maybe I am raving, but it sounds like you could have some sort of mental thing. Like very mild bipolar? Or something... I doubt it though....

Personally I believe that not only does puberty put us in mood swings, but simply times come where we get in grooves where we just can't get out and go back and forth between happy and sad. Well, I always find when I get into one of those grooves, I change. I dont change as a person, but I change something Im doing. Like, its not just your emotions, but change your routines too maybe. Last time, I changed the order of my morning routine. Or, I changed the way I drove to school. Or maybe for you, you could do something out of your ordinary. Like, maybe if you only ever read mystery books, read a romance book or whatever works for you. I dont know your habits that well. :P

Lol, you reminded me of a quote I heard from Einstein:
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
(Not that I'm trying to imply that anyone is insane here.)

Einstein was a brillant physist, but a lousy psychologist! Otherwise, he'd know that 'insanity' is a purely legal term!
Listen, Thomas, I know you pretty well, and it's clear that some of the stuff you've been thru/going thru can be stressful. Maybe what you've been feeling get's expressed thru the moodiness, etc.? Maybe those symptoms are a reflection/result of what's gone/going on for you.
Other than therapy, something that would be a good thing, I think you need to turn the page on childhood (and it's bad memories and experiences). maybe make some plans for the future, set some goals, and strive for them, daily. You need to have different, better things go on. And new people, too. Maybe even special people who can love you and nurture you in ways that you need.
It takes time to transition from teen to adult, but if you have goals and a plan to get there, you can accomplish it, and along the way, have different experiences which can help the old memories fade.

Thomas, I honestly think you could be bipolar. You should maybe get checked out or go to therapy or something.
