Is there a way i could look at my girl friends vagina and know she does not have a STD? If i can what do i look for?

Well yea you could if had STD vision or something. Or you could tell her to get tested and find out the only real way.

Every STD is different, and if you want to know what to look for, you'll have to do some research. Some STDs will show up on the body, but some will show no signs at all. The only way to tell for sure is if she gets an STD test.

Yea, the only way is testing. You cannot look at her and say... Oh my! She has HIV!

Generally speaking there is no way of simply looking at a female's genitals to ascertain as to whether or not a STD is present. Because STDs are caused by microscopic bacteria or viruses lab tests are the only way to know with certainty as to whether a person is clean or not.
With that being said there are some warning signs that you can use to determine whether or not your girlfriend might have problems "down there." For example, if your girlfriend has very bad odours coming out of her vagina, then there is a high probability that she has some sort of infection (though not necessarily a STD). Also, some STDs do have outward symptoms such as herpes and gonnorhea (sp?) which causes severe burning and irritation in that area. However, with your not being trained to look for external signs for STDs like a doctor it would be hard for you to determine whether or not there is a problem.
Basically, if you have concerns about your girlfriend's sexual health, then you both should go for STD tests out of fairness to each other. While using a condom can protect you against fluid based infections remember that it cannot protect you from skin-to-skin transmitted infections such a pubic lice.

Yep
The only way to know [and i doubt even it is 100% accurate] is to ask her to test for STDs.
Its safe, and a good thing to do, so hopefully she wont mind.

wear a condom and then you wont have to worry, unless it's like warts or crabs, but those are visible. and also, IF she is a virgin she will not have an std

Well, always wear a condom, but if you do not know your g/f well enough to know if she's got something (Easiest way: Ask), then maybe you shouldn't be intimate with her?
