View Full Version : I like being single. Because most boys these days are...

...incredibly shallow, selfish, arrogant and everything vile!
I apologize to those that aren't like this because I know not everyone is like that, but most of the boys I know are and they only want one thing from you...SEX :|
Also, a hell of a lot boys only want the insanely "hot" girls who are really slutty and go around wearing barely any clothes. Those girls are easy and boys like that. Boys don't care about those girls, they only want to get inside their pants :S
Shallow people annoy me anyways, when boys have too high standards of what a girl should look like they end up getting nothing! No one is physically perfect ya know :| Or if they DO get a good looking girl, they'll ditch her as soon as they see another good looking girl walking by, if you get what I mean?
Boys at times have no consideration for a girls feelings either, as long as they get what they want everything's fine! Same with girls too.
I could go on forever and ever why I don't want to date anyone at this present moment but I won't. I'll just leave it at this; I'm happy being single :D

I admit, I can be a jerk. More insulting people who don't know what they are talking about, but I try to be nice, and it just seems like more people take on different demeanor's in public than they really are.
I mean, I have tons of friends from camp, and some of them I absolutely despise outside of camp. Sometimes, when you take away the pressure of social lives, homework, sports, etc... It really changes people. Me included.
It makes me sad to think I probably don't know many of my friends as well as I think....

I would love to have a girlfriend, like a friend, but more, and nothing else.
Not only would I never have sex until like 10 years from now, I would never want a girl for sex only.
Try to find some guy that likes you, for who you are, not for sex.
There are more of us than you think ;)

Exactly, it's just that we don't show ourselves as much as the more assertive, aggressive guys do. You've got to search and find us.
There are many of those boys out there, and it bugs me, people should be more considerate of others. But we're not all like that. That's exaggerating a bit too much.

My theory:
The good, nice boys are too shy to come forward.
Same goes with girls, you know not all girls are sluts, well same with guys, not all of them are THAT crazed.
but i do belive that they have a harder time controling themselves. :P

Well, I don't know you, but I do know Rex and Nick, and if I were you I'd jump on them immediately! They are simply the best!
Not all guys are as you describe, just the ones who unfortunately get the most attention. Attention is a big thing, you know. And it's not just the guys looking (and acting) *that* way, the girls do, too. Often, girls wouldn't give *some* guys a second look, nevertheless a chance. Why haven't you made contact with the Rex's and Nick's in your school?

Wow, that totally seems to describe me.
Okay, this is going to sound really conceited but I shall go ahead and say it anyways:
I have always thought that I was a good guy, and all my girlfriends in the past have told me that I was really nice and a great boyfriend and respected them and treated them well.
But I am WAY too shy to come forward because I am scared that I won't be good enough for the girl. I fear that I will just get rejected. It takes me like 1-1.5 years to admit to a girl that I like her, unfortunately by the time I do it is too late.
Long story short I completely agree with what you said about how what people consider good guys are just too scared to come forward.

i know what you mean here. i was only thinking about this the other day. i used to think, and was probably naive in doing so, that guys who repect girls and want proper relationships and start doing physical stuff once you know eachother really well and are both happy in the relationship were in the majority. but honestly, i see it so much in my school and from talking to people, that what you described is so common and it appears that people like me , who respect girls and actually care about them more then caring about my dick, are definetly in the minority.

Actually, I wouldn't say most guys these days are this way. It's true that a lot of them are, but in my experience the good guys are usually so shy or so laid back that you don't notice them unless you look for them. In fact, some of them are shy enough that they're actively trying to avoid being noticed. The guys that go for slutty girls, on the other hand, do everything they can to be noticed because they're competing with eachother for the slutty girls. Quiet guys are usually the best ones. ;)

I'll admit, a lot of guys are like that, in fact, most of my friends are like that, and I've been like that at times. But I also have to admit that I personally think that 90% of the girls at my school are physically attractive in one way or another. I haven't even really set a standard for the type of girl I want. Right now what I really need is a girl with a great personality and a girl who is willing to listen to me, a girl who can make me laugh, make me feel good when I'm down, make me smile on the most depressing day of my life, etc. regardless of her looks. I've never cared less about looks than I do now. I understand where you're coming from, a lot of my friends brag about how they're dating so and so or they screwed so and so and I even heard a guy bragging today about how he's basically using his girlfriend; it sickens me...

Well. Isn't it strange that so many guys on HERE are the exact OPPOSITE of the assholes you described :D?
I do agree though, there is NO shortage of those kind of guys. I myself haven't really "done" anything with a girl because I'm too shy or afraid to just "go for it". I'm one of those "nice guys" and I've been told so a number of times. But still its the "nice guy's finish last" deal for me. I really would like to have a relationship with someone, I just wish I was more confident in myself :whoops:

yea some guys are jerks but there are a lot more guys who are not jerks
the jerks just tend to stand out a lot more
now i have to admit that you cannot get a guy that won't think about having sex with you(i have been with most of those guys myself)
guys tend to think about sex a lot but it doesn't mean they want to get inside your pants
give the guys that are not jerks a chance

I know, I've just realised that as soon as I read all of the replies to this thread. That's why I love this site so much as there are so many decent people on here! :)
But I agree with those who say that the jerk guys stand out more than the nice laidback guys. A lot laidback guys are really shy and don't come to talk to girls, but I don't have anything against that. I just stay away from the jerks completely because if I started to date one of them, it would just make me totally unhappy and depressed. And also I don't think the jerks would wanna date me anyway because I know well and truly how to stand my ground and they don't like it when girls do that! :D

I think he was being sarcastic but in a strange way your right as well. 'Jerk' guys probably wouldn't join something like this, it's not exactly pc is it?

Hahaha! Good point and well spoken. :-) Not all laidback guys are shy, some are of course, but i'm a pretty laid back kind of guy, and, well to be honest, i don't have the looks at the moment to even get a girlfriend as my face is a general plague area like the rest of you during puberty and adolesence!
That's also true about 'jerks' not wanting to go without you because you are what i like to call 'fiesty', and i agree. BUT...personally i like girls who stand there ground, i prefer it really.
Oh and if that pic at the bottom of your sig is you, i can't see how you haven't got a boyfriend, they must be mad!

Yeah, the guys who are into sluts don't like girls who can stand their ground. Most of the guys I've met, however, actually like the fact that I'm a "tough chick". They seem to think it's cool that I don't need them to "protect" me, as long as I let them do it anyway once in a while so they feel "manly" or whatever.

Yes there are many of us. I have never had a girlfriend and stuff. What I look for in young woman is personality and other important stuff ( not sex, breast size, or that stuff).

I agree, I would like a girlfriend who doesn't need me to stick up for her. . . that shows how codependent she is, and I must admit for me one of the biggest turn ons is if the girl DOES take charge in things rather than throw it all on me. But then again like everyone else I am too shy to get a girlfriend, and when I do it is always the wrong person. . .

Lol thanks :D
Remember, looks aren't everything and there are a lot of girls who judge by personality before looks, but I must say, there a HELL of a lot of girls who are just as shallow as boys so just stay away from those superficial morons >__> .
Yeah I once got told by these guys that i'm "too feisty and uptight" and they didn't like it, and it was only because I told them to "f**k off" because they wee being annoying and stupid as hell. When some guys say something rude to you and you say something either like witty or mean back they hate it, they just can't handle good comebacks ;).
It's me in my signature. I don't think them boys are into me anyways because I'm not like the typical bimbo who's easy to get into bed with and wears the lowest cut top that shows their MASSIVE boobs and the shortest skirt that's so short they might as well not be wearing it :/ lol. Well in all fairness, I don't think I'm particularly good looking myself. But oh welllll :)

You seem like an awesome girl, and I'm not just saying that for the sake of saying that, I seriously mean it. And if guys can't handle the fact that you have an opinion and that you can handle things on your own, they don't deserve you. I have to admit, most guys, myself included, really do have to learn that girls are not subjugates, they are not lower than us. I mean, I know in my heart that a girl is not below me, that if anything she is above me, I'd most likely treat my girlfriend (if I had one right now) like a deity, rather than like a piece of trash, but in my mind I still think of a girl as below me sometimes, though its not often my mind, but my mouth. When I'm talking to my friends, sometimes we talk about girls like they're pieces of meat and its just disgusting, but I digress...

I agree with Underground, it's people like you who make relationships work.
Imagine being married to someone for your life, only based on looks and not even being emotionally attached to them. I don't see how it doesn't crumble in seconds, well, it usually does.

I would never ever do that. I go for personality looks dosent mean anything. It doesn't change any part of that person. I am not "sex crazed" as you say and if it came to it If my partner didn't want to then I'm totally cool with that I would give up and find someone else. Most guys I know are and will though. Its hard to find respectable people but they do exist.

An old cat lady :) haha
Well come to think of it, I'm really not ready to settle down into a relationship because it would just make me feel awkward, nervous and anxious.
I have been asked out a few times (by a guy who is too much of a friend to me, and by 3 other guys that have NEVER spoke to me in their lives which is sooo weird :S) but I turned them down.
It might have something to with my slight fear of commitment.

Personally, I hate them too; but for a very different reason. I have a girlfriend that I absolutely love, but I fear that it will end up like any other high school relationship. So when I see them, I am disgusted by how shallow they are. It kinda makes me feel like thats all high school relationships ever are, and ever can be.
