Have you ever tried a specialized medicine like pamprin or midol? It works very well for me.

Ooh, that is a problem then. You might try looking here (http://womenshealth.about.com/cs/crampsmenstrual/ht/menstrualcramps.htm) though, they've got a number of other things you could try.

maybe you should take a birth control pill that gives you shorter, and lighter periods?

There's loadsa things that I've heard can ork for cramps (short term 'they say if you...' fixes)

- Laying down with your legs raised, on chair or against the wall
- Sucking a cold grape (or something small and sweet?)
- Warming your lower abs (a hot water bottle or bath etc)
- Drinking hot or very cold drinks (again, sweet)

That's all I know, but you'd probably be better with pain killers. Those are just none medicinal alternatives. :)

Yeah a lot of these home remedy things get passed around just because it's such a common problem. On tip though: if you do elevate your legs, make sure you don't raise your hips too far above your shoulders. If you do your flow can start going the wrong way, and that's obviously not a good thing.
