well my nano, a month after i got it, was in my pocket, then i took it out and the thing wouldn't turn on, so i thought it must've turned on in my pocket, so i went home to recharge it and the screen was black, it stayed black. it wouldn't turn on. it still wont turn on. ive done everything. menu+select, wait 6 seconds and push play and menu, everything. i called apple, didn't help.

what the hell can i do?

also, my shuffle was in my pocket and it went through the wash. it won't work. it turns on, but the battery drains in a few minutes now. even when its off. i think its memory was deleted. but i tried syncing it again, but it still wont work. any ideas?

Well if you have Apple care, use it.
If not, try looking online at apple.com, or contacting Apple about it, to try and fix it
If that doesn't work, buy a new one.

As for the shuffle, same thing. But your less likely to get any sympathy from them, since you were the one who ran it through the wash. Electronics+Water=Broken Electronics

Had it under a year? Apple stores should fix it if it is broken and its been under a year since you got it. I had an iPod mini that i dropped on the floor with an obvious dent in the side, and they still gave me a new one for free.

the nano may be under warranty, there are people who will fix them. as for the shuffle, it's just a shuffle, their lives are short anyway. I know what you're going thru, I had a second generation ipod classic 30gb and I was almost crying when it broke, I have a 16gb touch now and I would go crazy if it broke, so I got it a nice leather case! but, ipods are NOT durable, get a case for your nano if it can be fixed and don't just keep it in you're pocket.

there is 4 apple stores in canada. 3 of them are in toronto. the other is in a place starting with an 'L' (Lloydminster?) so i cant bring it to one. and i lost the receipt, so i cant bring it back to the store. i already called apple. 4 times. in fact, i just sent my iPod to Newfoundland where walmart gives you $200 credit for a broken ipod, even without a receipt

It sounds like you got your problem fixed already. I hope that you do get it a satisfying result.
