we have teachers who are very leanient with some school rules. i go to a relatively strict private school. one of the rules is the "1 metre rule" which is the distance that you are supposed to stay apart from members of the opposite sex. so what that means is that for joanne and i we have to be discrete when we hug and kiss in school, except if its in maths class or when our maths teacher is around, because he doesn't care, as long as we do our work. so little rule breaking like that makes this teacher quite popular.

I had an English teacher last year who would leave the room halfway into the period and just let us do whatever the hell we wanted. We all assumed he was on drugs or something. Once when we were in the Media Center [School Library] on the computers, he didn't even give a shit when this kid in our class looked up porn, and let half of us play games instead of doing the assignment. He also gave me extra credit one day for wearing a "cool shirt".

My research teacher this year is really nice. she lets us do basically anything. Since the class doesn't involve her teaching, and us "doing our project", she doesn't really care what we do. We can use our phones, ipods, anything, and she won't get mad. On top of that, she is really laid back and always joking around.

Well I've got some really awesome teachers but they don't let us break the rules. There's Mr.o, Mrs.V, and that's pretty much it.

My favorite from high school...

Senora McHill :D

She was my Spanish 1,3 and 4 teacher,
And I was also her student aide all year my junior and part of my senior year.
She taught me how to truly laugh and have a sense of humor.
She was also like a second mom to me,
We talked all of the time.
During my aide period, as long as I got all of her grading and grade entering done,
She'd let me out to run errands around town.

Mrs. Handman

My AP Enligsh teacher,
And I was her student aide the last 2 terms of my senior year.
This woman is AMAZING.
Besides the fact that I was one of her favorites,
She was the only teacher that ever made me truly feel like I had real talent.
While I was her student aide, she'd let me run around town as well after I got her work done.

Also, both nominated me for OSAA in Language Arts this last spring (combined for foreign language, english and classroom behavior), and I got it. This award basically meant that I was the absolute best in the district.

My band teacher lets us text and use our phones when we aren't playing as long as when she speaks, we look up and listen. (Same deal with our Spanish Teacher)

My English teacher this year is cool just for the fact that he cusses in class and allows us to cuss moderately (anything but fuck basically)

Back in 8th grade I had the best History teacher ever. She understood how repetitive the classwork was for ME and a few other students so instead of making us do the assignments she'd simply just give us a 100% for it and then we basically jsut take the test.

I had a chemistry teacher who was awesome. He was one of my wrestling coaches so on days of wrestling matches I could go lift weight and run if I needed to cut make weight during his class. All i had to do was check i with him and have him sign a note so I could go work out.

Hmm, good thread.

The Wood Shop teacher is really nice. Most people have a nickname from him, I am Nestle (story behind it), We were allowed to eat in his class. The chorus director is really nice too. I no longer take chorus, but he still says hi to me almost everyday, and asks me how I am. He also asked me casually if I would play in the pit for the school musical.

My social studies teacher last year was hilarious. Most days he would sit at his computer and play music and sing. And talk about Guitar Hero. One day he was teaching and all of the sudden, out of no where, while someone was asking a question he goes "What's your favorite candy bar?" He had us all answer. We were all trying to figure out how it was related to what we were learning about, so I asked and he goes "I dunno. Her question was boring, and I had no idea what the answer was, and it just popped into my head." He would come out with stuff like that ALL the time.

My French teacher is awesome too. During class she tries to be strict, but basically gets overruled. But during any other time she's super nice and funny. She had a homeroom in there and I went in to ask her a question and Justin, a homeroom kid was playing a PSP out in the open. I say to her "You know that he is playing a PSP, right?" She says "Oh, no I didn't. He's being quiet though." Then says to Justin, "Put that down so people can't see from the hallway, okay?" You can basically ask her anything you want and she answers it.

My 6th grade social studies teacher. We did NOTHING. just talked about the giants, and my ES teacher last year, hilarious, and we still worked.

Autumn, you got so lucky. I had an evil french teacher for four years... It was terrible... Like hell on earth. lol.
