well a good idea might be to try and become involved in some sort of acting school or performing arts activities. this will help you with wanting to become an actor. the other thing you could do is to try and join an angency where producers/directors go to when they audition people for roles. hope this helps. :)

Get involved with as many things 'acting related' as you can at school. Then look around for local Theatres or acting schools.

If you're serious about acting you could join a local theatre company.

In the beginning you'll just be doing crappy stuff like painting sets and doing the curtain drawing, but after you get to know the stuff that goes on backstage you'll start getting small parts, not talking or anything, just background people.
Once you've been there for quite a while and they've seen you are comitted to acting, you'll get small speaking parts.

After a pretty long time you can apply for a higher-leveled theatre company, and you'll be able to have speaking roles there.
When you have done all this, THEN you can have a try to get on tv through an acting agency - maybe on one of the minor channels for say, a kids show.

Yup, acting takes a lot more effort than it seems when you see some famous guy on TV, but if you really enjoy it it'll be worth it in the end.

Hope I could help you!

If your serious about acting it won't be cheap. You'll need to buy head shots, you'll have to go to an agency and pay them, you'll have to pay for gas to get to the auditions, and you'll have to pay for other things. The best thing for you to do is to get into school productions, go to a performing arts school and try to have fun.

OOH! My area of expertise!
Okay, I have been acting since I was 9. There are certain things you need to not do and also do.
First off, take acting classes. Find a modeling/acting agency locally and take some classes. They may be expensive but they definately help. Take on screen classes etc.
Then get headshots taken. These are very important. You can get them through the agency also.
This is the exciting part though....
When the agency asks you to go to LA or NY for a weekend to meet scounts say NO!
Then don't do anything with that agency anymore possibly (depends on what they want).
Okay, so you got the basics then go out and start doing some theatre. Get in some plays and start getting your feet wet. After start looking in the paper and such and find some things that might suit your wants.
When you turn 18 move to LA and further pursue and maybe something might happen...
however both ways good luck :D
